Penshurst West FC competes in the St George Football Association — one of Sydney’s longest-running community competitions. From Under 6s to seniors, here’s everything you need to know about how it all works.
HOW IT WORKS
The 2026 Season
PWFC competes in the Football St George Association (SGFA) winter competition each year. The season runs from April through to August, with matches played on Saturday mornings at Olds Park and at opposition grounds across the Georges River area.
Teams are split into three streams: non-competition (Under 6–11, focused on fun and development, no score recorded by the association), competition (Under 12 and above, with ladders, finals, and trophies), and Seniors for 18s and over.
Registrations open in February. Teams form in March with pre-season training kicking off before the April season start.

OUR ASSOCIATION
Football St George
Penshurst West FC is a proud member of the Football St George, one of the oldest and most established community football associations in New South Wales.
Football St George covers clubs across the Georges River and Bayside council areas — a close-knit local competition where families and communities have been playing against each other for generations.
The Association runs separate winter and summer competitions, with Penshurst West FC primarily competing in winter. Finals are run over multiple weekends in August–September, with the top teams from each grade competing for premiership honours.

Football for everyone — starting with Under 5s for those as young as four years old.

PWFC is a family-friendly club. We expect all players, coaches, parents, and spectators to uphold these values every week.
Players
- Respect opponents, referees, and teammates at all times
- Play fair — accept wins and losses with grace
- Give 100% effort in training and games
- Wear full kit and arrive on time for matches
- Report any concerns to your coach or manager
- Have fun and support your teammates
Parents & Spectators
- Cheer positively for your team and the sport
- Never abuse referees, coaches, or other parents
- Respect decisions made on & off the field
- Stay off the field of play during matches
- Model the behaviour you want your child to display
- Raise concerns calmly and respectfully after the game
Coaches & RTOs
- Prioritise the safety and welfare of all players
- Teach skills with patience and encouragement
- Treat all players equally regardless of ability
- Abide by Football NSW and SGFA rules
- Never leave players unsupervised at training or games
