TRIBUTE TO DYLAN SMITH – THANK YOU

By July 13, 2015Uncategorized

As a mark of respect to our AAB1 player Dylan Smith who sadly passed away, all Penshurst West teams that played on weekend 11 & 12 July 2015 were asked to wear black arm bands. All senior Penshurst West teams observed a minutes silence before their games in tribute to this well loved member of our football family.

On behalf of the All Age B First grade side we would like to thank you for the support shown by family members, friends and fellow club mates in turning up to yesterday’s top of the table clash verse All Saints Oately West. We would like to thank ASOW players for observing a minute silence pre game kick off.  As always a very tough game to play against an ASOW side. Also to thank ASOW players for coming on to the field post game sharing a few stories, drinks and laughs. There aren’t many teams that have a culture that you can do that with showing that kind of support as what they had shown after the game.

We would like to send out a special thankyou to Dylan’s mother- Rhonda, Dylan’s father- David and to Dylan’s sister- Tayla on being apart this memorable day for the club. Dylan was a fantastic young man who was loved by all and will be missed by all. Every member of the team considered Dylan as family, which makes you family. We will be here for you always.

Thank you
